In September 2008, the active phase has started of the Gate2RuBIN project  – the project of Russia’s participation in the Enterprise Europe Network.

A regional network of Gate2RuBIN centres has been established that enables the Enterprise Europe Network’s Correspondence Centre in Russia (EEN-Russia) to provide services in Modules A, B and C as required by the contract with the European Commission.

EEN-Russia will hold the conference Gate2RuBIN-2009 on 29-30 October 2009.

The conference will comprise 2 events:

1st day: “Brokerage event” – presentation of opportunities for establishing RF-EU partnerships

2nd day: Presentation of the first year results of Gate2RuBIN operation (2008-2009).

Both events are aimed at:
• increasing the visibility among the EU partner centres of the capabilities of the EEN-Russia in establishing business and technological EU-RF partnerships
• raising awareness of the EU partner centres about the competencies of Russian companies, R&D institutes and universities interested in EU-RF cooperation
• raising awareness of the EEN-Russia and regional Gate2RuBIN centres about the cooperation potential with the EU partner centres, presentation of EU spheres of interest in cooperation with Russia.

Expected outputs:
• primary contacts are established between the Russian regional Gate2RuBIN centres and EU partner centres for developing further business and technological partnerships
• EU partner centres are aware of opportunities for finding partners in Russia and of Russian partners’ strengths and weaknesses
• regional Gate2RuBIN centres have a better understanding what partnerships are of interest for EU centres and their clients.
