The objectives of the workshop were:
- to provide researchers with a broad overview of upcoming calls of the 7th Framework Programme and other European and Russian programmes;
- advising on information required of participation in joint European consortia, filling in the partner offer form;
- assistance in partner search.
Moreover its aim was to develop practical skills of participation in European research and education programmes. 
More than 60 scientists, representatives of scientific organizations and universities gathered in Voronezh for this meeting.
Representatives of the Russian Transfer Technology Network (RTTN) made presentations on 1) Gate2RuBIN project as a support tool for research institutions and SMEs in international S/T cooperation with the European Union and 2) ISTOK-SOYUZ project as a support tool for promotion of participation of Russian ICT researchers in FP7.
Participants discussed opportunities for Russian scientists’ participation in call for proposals in the framework of 7th Framework Programme.
