On 16-18 June 2009, in Novosibirsk (Russia) 5. German-Russian Forum on Biotechnology will take place. Organizers of the Forum are the East-West-Science Centre in cooperation with the Institute of Cytology and Genetics (RAS) and the Department of Bioinformatics of the University of Bielefeld.

In addition to the Forum there will be a special EU-Panel concerning European Perspectives in the Seventh Research Framework Programme (FP7) with focus on the open calls in Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, and Biotechnology.
The German-Russian Forum will give German and Russian participants the opportunity to present their work to the audience with the objective to gain possible future cooperation partners.
In addition to the Forum and the EU-Panel there will be the opportunity to establish first contacts or to intensify cooperation during individual Cooperation Talks and to visit Biotechnology Institutes and Enterprises in Novosibirsk and Akademgorodok.

For German participants there is the option for financial support from the German side.
