In the scope of the Biotechnica 2008 (7. – 9. October, Hanover) the East-West-Science Centre (OWWZ) of the University of Kassel in co-operation with the Association of German Biotech Companies (VBU) organises a German-Russian Workshop Biotechnology.

The Workshop is going to point out special aspects on the following topics:
- Biotechnology in Russia and Germany
- Technology Transfer: From Research to Production – Strategies for Successful Co-operation between Science and Industry
- Intellectual Property Rights in Germany and Russia
- Funding for Entrepreneurship.

Target groups are researchers and enterprises in Germany and Russia especially interested in the topic of the transfer of scientific work into industrial application.
