RuBIN 2015  On 16 July 2015, in Berlin, a German-Russian forum took place, dedicated to the innovations in the field of alternative energy and environment. The Forum was attended by over 90 directors and specialists from R&D organisations of Russia and Germany. The Russian Technology Transfer Network presented the projects of Russian companies.

 Anton Yanovsky, Project Director of the Russian Technology Transfer Network, made an overview of Russian programmes and other tools for supporting the international scientific and technological cooperation and technology transfer.

  The Forum and the brokerage meetings held in its framework gave place for discussion of opportunities for cooperation between German and Russian companies and R&D organisations in the following areas:

· autonomous solutions for energy supply to countryside consumers, using cogeneration and energy storage technologies;

· energy saving in buildings («smart houses»);

· «smart» power grids;

· waste-to-energy solutions;

· innovations in water and wastewater management.

  Russian-Berlin-Brandenburg Network on Energy and Environmental Technology (RUBIN) is a cooperation project between Russia and Berlin-Brandenburg in the field of energy, energy efficiency and protection of environment.

  The project is implemented by the Berlin-Brandenburg Energy Network e.V. (BEN) and supported in the framework of the programme „Netzwerkbildung Mittel- und Osteuropa" of Berlin Land.
